Vastu for rented flats — small adjustments, real shifts

You can't move walls, but you can move energy. Practical Vastu adjustments for tenants who can't renovate.

Most Vastu literature assumes you're building from scratch or remodeling. For the 80% of urban Indians in rented flats, that advice is actively unhelpful. The good news: roughly 70% of Vastu's effect comes from how you USE the space, not what walls go where.

First, mind your sleeping orientation. Head to the south or east while sleeping is the single most consequential adjustment, and it's free. Try it for two weeks before you try anything else.

Second, your kitchen should ideally face east when you cook. If yours doesn't, don't panic — keep the morning sunlight unobstructed in the cooking area, and the imbalance softens.

Third, your work-from-home desk wants to face east or north. Your back should NOT face the entrance to the room. These two together change the quality of attention you bring to work, more than people expect.

Big renovations get the credit, but the patterns above carry most of the weight. Try them.
